About Me

Abigail is a Public Health and Journalism student at American University. Born and raised in New Jersey, she hopes to improve the lives of people in her state. While working with the Office of Population Health at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, she helped communicate important health issues to the Rutgers community. In addition to running the social media for the Rutgers Health Service Corps, she inspired future health leaders during a week-long camp run by the office for high schoolers across New Jersey.

While in Washington D.C., Abigail helped teach elementary school students about the importance of gardening and nutrition. As an intern at Horace Mann Elementary School, she helped run the gardening program, teaching students how to grow vegetables in a hydroponic system.

As a student journalist at American University, Abigail has written about and videoed a variety of important issues affecting both the AU and Washington D.C. communities such as covering increases in tuition, abortion protests at the Supreme Court, and the mental health crisis affecting college students. She hopes in the future to cover issues regarding the state of public health and healthcare in the United States.
